Onikenbai is a beautiful, but strong and fascinating dance form that hails from Iwate Prefecture, Japan, and our Onikenbai Club is dedicated to the practice of the unique dance and music of the Onikenbai tradition. The club practices every Saturday morning and is open to all current Taikoz class members, regardless of experience level.
What to bring: Loose-fitting clothing, water bottle, towel, *ôgi (folding fan), *obi (sash that you tie around your waist), *katana (Japanese sword, or a piece of bamboo/dowel that is roughly the same size as katana).
* Please speak to the club leader about procuring these items.
Onikenbai Club meets every Saturday at Ultimo 10:45am till 12:15pm, unless notified by a club member
