Open dojo on Thursday evenings – all welcome!
Drop-In sessions will be held every week in Dojo 2 from 7:30-9:00pm. These will be led by Taikoz Artists and are designed for those who wish to attend another playing session (at $45) or use it as a make-up class (at no cost - see below).
Drop-In sessions will explore a variety of styles, various renshū and warm-ups, rhythm studies and games, and ‘round-robin’ arrangements. The idea is to work up a sweat, have fun and learn something along the way!
The classes will be advertised in 4-week blocks, and as the name suggests, they will be arranged on a drop-in basis. To assist us in organising each session in advance, the cut-off for bookings will be 12noon on Wednesdays, and for the class to go ahead, a minimum of 4 people will be required to attend. If the session is to be cancelled, we will contact anyone who has booked in before the cut off time and arrange for a refund.

If you are in an Elements Class (I, II or Advanced) and miss a weekly class, you can attend the Drop-In Class at no cost. To register for the evening, rather than booking through the website, send an email to learn@australiantaikoacademy.com.au

Please note students are required to have their own bachi (sticks). If you wish to purchase these from Taikoz you may do so at the special student price of $40.
It is the Academy's policy that students must wear hearing protection while attending our classes. You can bring your own ear plugs, or purchase reusable ear plugs from our shop for $35 or disposable foam ear plugs at the dojo for $1.50.
