Member since 2018

Anton began as a Taikoz Associate Player in 2003, became a full-time member in 2006, and since 2016, Taikoz Associate Member. Now residing and working in Colombia, Anton was seen regularly on stage as taiko player and Onikenbai dancer, as well as a contemporary dancer, having worked closely with internationally acclaimed choreographer Meryl Tankard since 2007. In 2007 and 2008 Anton traveled to Sado Island and was taught Onikenbai, a traditional performing art of Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture by Yoshikazu Fujimoto of Kodo. He studied with Yoshikazu Fujimoto and the original masters of Iwasaki Onikenbai Hozonkai, training with them and performing in the Kitakami Michinoku Geinou Matsuri from 2010-2015. As a Taikoz Associate Member, Anton appears from time to time with Taikoz.
