Last week, Ian presented a seminar to high school teachers and students at AIM for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra education team. Entitled, "Taikoz: Taiko, Tradition and Today", the presentation included a talk on the backgorund and cultural context of taiko in Japan, some aesthetic concepts, the internationalisation of taiko, the history and raison d'être of Taikoz, plus lots of photos and videos of taiko in rural Japan, matsuri (festivals) and Taikoz's own original productions.
